Symbols

In creating the logo of Dominanta Group three symbols were used: equilateral triangle, triquester (triradial swastika) and triskelion. They have the following meanings:

Triangle

The triangle is the first one among the plane figures. Therefore, it is a symbol of the surface in general. Based on this meaning Plato affirmed that «surface consists of the triangles».
The triangle symbolizes the triune nature of the universe:
  • Sky, Earth, Man;
  • Father, Mother, Child;
  • Man as Body, Soul and Spirit.

This is the trinity of love, truth and wisdom.
Equilateral triangle means completion, perfection, whereby the triangle top pointed upwards is sunny and symbolizes life, energy, fire, heat (hence the orange color in the company logo).
According to Plutarch «area within such a triangle is the common center and is named „Plain of truth“, where there is reason, shapes and images of all the things that passed and that are coming; they rest there in peace which cannot be violated, and Eternity surrounds them; and hence the time as a fountain stream flows down to the worlds»

Trikvetra (triradial swastika)

Three-legged or thiradial symbol to a substantial degree has the symbolics of swastika and signifies the move of the Sun: at sunrise, at zenith and at sunset. The suggestions on connection of this symbol with moon phases and life renewal were expressed.
As with the swastika, this is a symbol bringing luck. It often appears just as the sun symbols; it can be seen on the ancient coins of Aspendius in Pamphylia, of Menekratus in Phrygia, on Celtic crosses, where, it is believed, this sign symbolizes the Triad.
Trikvetra is a symbol of oneness, joining of the three in one and one in three, the symbol of oneness in the variety. Proklus reflected the meaning of this oneness: «Middle, acting as a mediator, binds two other ones into one perfect order».

Triskelion (symbol of dynamic energy)

This symbol looks like swastika, but with the three, not with for bended beams creating the effect of cyclic movement. It is the central figure of ancient Celtic symbolics — it is called «spiral of life», and it signified either sacred elements of the universe (earth, sea and sky), or the cycle of human life (birth, death and regeneration), or the triune image of the Mother-Goddess. Often the triskelion was drawn as one continuous line emphasizing the infinity of all the above mentioned. As a motive in the Celtic art and on the Greek coins and shields this symbol is related not so much to the phases of sun and moon (one of the suggested meanings), as to the power and physical strength. Triskelion is a symbol of victory and progress.

Logotype colors

Color selection for the Group logo was dictated by symbolic meaning of the colors:
orange symbolizes energy and changes,
black means loyalty to traditions and experience,
white is a symbol of purity, strength and generosity.
Therefore a combination of these colors in our logo shows that we are a young, active and dynamically developing team based on experience and professionalism of our members. We are constantly looking for new solutions and keep the path to reach our goals.

Therefore, our logo contains the following meaning:
«The Dominanta Group came on the fuel and energy market determined to win the position of a leading player. The energy for advanced development of the Group on the market comes from the united efforts of the team».

Note

The word «Dominanta» is used in the name of the Griuo (from latin “dominans” — dominating) — means dominating idea, main feature or most important part of something. The meaning of the word emphasizes not only the most important function of energetics in the national economy of diferent countries, but also the mission of the Group, which aims to gain leadership among the enterprises of uel and energy industry.
